On Oct. 28, The department was notified of an assault which had occurred the previous day in various locations. The incident allegedly started in the 1700 block of N. Main St. when the 21 year old victim became involved in a verbal altercation with an ex-boyfriend. The suspect had scratched the victim on her neck and chest while assaulting her at that location. The two had then left the scene in the victim’s vehicle headed to the victim’s home. During the drive, the suspect had produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim while threatening to kill her. Once at the victim’s home, the suspect had choked the victim and again threatened to kill her. The victim was finally able to come to the police department on the following day to report the assault. The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division.
Officers made 9 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 104 calls for service during this reporting period.
