Friday, November 19, 2021 at 6:49am; Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of NW 7th Street . A passenger was identified as 44 year old Lenwood Oudems. He was found to have an outstanding felony warrant from Dallas County, charging him with Forgery of Financial Instrument. Subject was booked into the Paris Police Department Jail and later transported to the Lamar County Jail.
Friday, November 19 at 8:42pm; Officer was contacted by a victim in reference to a fraud. Victim reported to have been defrauded out of a large sum of money over a period of times by a person misrepresenting themselves as a paralegal working for attorney. The investigation continues.
Friday, November 19, 2021 at 9:27pm; Officer initiated a traffic stop for expired registration in the 200 block of NW 12th Street. Driver, 28 year old Lintoria Johnson was discovered to have an outstanding felony warrant for a Paris Police case reported in August of 2020 for a theft occurring in the 3800 block of Lamar, charging her with Felony State Jail Theft Property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions. Subject was booked into the Paris Police Department Jail and later transported to the Lamar County Jail.
Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:21pm; Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of 6th S.E. Street in reference to a theft of a wallet. Alleged suspect has two prior convictions for theft of property and could be facing a
Felony State Jail Theft Property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions if this case is filed. The investigation continues.
Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 6:51pm; Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of 4th N.W. Street in reference to a motor vehicle theft. Vehicle was located and juvenile was detained and released to parent.
Monday, November 22, 2021 at 01:19am; Officers were dispatched to an Alarm in the 2400 block of Lamar Avenue,. Tips lead to the arrest of two juveniles. The investigation continues.
From Friday, November 19, 2021 through Sunday, November 21, 2021; the Paris Police Department responded to 194 calls for service and arrested 9 adult persons.
