Thursday, November 17, 2022: at 5:00pm: Paris PD Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of SE 13th Street in reference to a warrant arrest. 49-year-old Marcus Wayn Hampton of Paris was located walking in the general area and was taken into custody on a Felony Parole Violation Warrant. Hampton was transported to the Paris City Jail, booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Thursday, November 17, 2022: at 6:19pm: Paris PD Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Lamar Avenue to a call of a suspicious person, who was reported to have been talking about someone chasing him. Officer made contact with 39-year old Carl Daniel White of Paris, who advised officer that he believed that he had an outstanding warrant. A Pardon and Parole Violation Felony Warrant was confirmed and White was taken into custody, booked into the Paris City Jail and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Thursday, November 17, 2022: at 10:53pm: Paris PD Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Dickson Avenue for an open line 9-1-1 call with a female screaming and crying. Upon arrival, there was no answer from knocking at the front door; but a woman could be heard crying in the back portion of the residence. Soon after, the victim ran out the front door crying. 24-year-old Jalen Dejuan Wallace of Paris was located hiding in a corner of a bedroom. Wallace was arrested, taken into custody and booked into the Paris City Jail for Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Restraint, Possession of Marijuana and outstanding Lamar County Motion to Revoke– Manufacture Delivery Controlled Substance Warrant.
Thursday, November 17, 2022: The Paris Police Department responded to 55 calls for service and arrested 4 adult persons.
