On Nov. 13, an officer with the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force was informed of an outstanding warrant for the arrest of Robert James Horton (52) for Illegal Dumping. The officer observed Horton driving on FM 137 and attempted to make contact with Horton. Horton pulled behind a residence in the 3300 block of FM 137 in an attempt to elude the officer. He was located and placed under arrest for the warrant, Illegal Dumping over 200 lbs. Horton was booked and transferred to County Jail.
On nov. 13, Paula Jean Smith (49) of Paris was arrested in the 2100 block of E Cherry St. on an outstanding warrant for Injury to a Child or Elderly or Disabled Individual, a Felony. The arrest was the result of a November 12, incident in which Smith and other suspects assaulted a 66 year old victim in his home, causing injuries requiring hospital care. A second suspect, Robriiceson Rayshun Savage, was arrested in Choctaw County Oklahoma in reference to the same incident.
Officers made 18 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 72 calls for service during this reporting period.
