Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10:48am: A victim residing in Texarkana Arkansas was contacted by a Paris Branch Credit Union teller; located in the 1900 block of NE Loop 286; to verify information on her former place of employment. The victim stated that she is not retired. The teller confirmed that a withdrawal had been authorized for $7,200.00. The account history detailed an additional withdrawal from the Sulphur Springs Branch (on the same day) in the amount of $5,200.00. An unknown suspect had created a fake driver’s license with the victim’s identifiers, with the exception of the photo. Surveillance footage was provided to a Paris Police Officer and the Officer took a Felony Fraud Use Possession of Identifying Information, which is under investigation.
Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:56pm: Paris Officer recognized 45-Year-Old Travis Ray Fish of Paris walking in the 900 block of North West 4th Street and knew Fish to have an active warrant out for his arrest. Contact was made and the warrant was confirmed. Fish was taken into custody and booked into the Paris Jail for Parole Violation-Carrying Prohibited Weapon.
Friday, March 31, 2023 at 4:12am: Early Friday morning around 4:12am; Paris Dispatch received a hit confirmation from Dallas PD that they had recovered the Gray 2016 Kia Forte vehicle that was reported stolen out of Paris PD on the early morning of March 29th, from the 2600 block of Lamar Avenue. The vehicle was stored at Dallas PD Auto Pound and the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Force was notified.
Thursday, March 30, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 71 Calls for Service and arrested 3 adult persons.
