On Mar. 3, Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 200 block of SW 3rd St. Dispatch advised the suspect had taken the phone from the victim during the call. Officers arrived and contacted the victim and the suspect, Albert Tambunga (65). The victim advised that she had been assaulted by Tambunga several times and while trying to call for assistance, Tambunga had kicked in the bathroom door and taken the phone from her. It was discovered that Tambunga had previous convictions for Family Violence Assault and his charges were enhanced to Felony Assault of a Family Member as well as Interference with an emergency phone call.
On Mar. 3, Officers arrested Michael Phillip Livingston (35) of Paris on a Fannin County Warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Livingston came to the Paris Police Department where he was arrested on the warrant without incident. He was transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
On Mar.3, Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1400 block of NE 27th. The victim advised her estranged husband, Laron Michael Colton (50) had come in and been tearing up the house. Officers were made aware by Dispatch that Colton had an outstanding Felony warrant out of Lamar County S. O. Officers contacted Colton, who refused to get out of bed and comply with officers’ request for him to speak with them. It was confirmed that Colton had outstanding county warrants. As officers attempted to take Colton into custody, he refused to comply and resisted being taken into custody. He was eventually taken into control by the use of Oleoresin Capsicum and transferred to the city jail. He continued to act in a violent and uncooperative manner. He was charged with the Lamar County charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm as well as Resisting arrest or Transport.
Officers made 15 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 97 calls for service for this reporting period.
