On mar. 23, Officers responded to a Security Check in the 1600 block of W. Houston. Kendrick Dejuan Davis (43) was reportedly on the scene and refused to leave. It was confirmed that Davis had an outstanding warrant for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a Felony. Davis was arrested on the warrant without incident and placed in county jail. .
On Mar. 23, Officers were notified of a warrant arrest. They responded to the 1500 block of Clarksville where they made contact with Thomas Ryan Manginell (33) who was being detained by employees of the bond company. Manginell was wanted on three warrants out of Lamar County. The warrants were confirmed and Manginell was taken into custody. In a post arrest search of Manginell’s property, he was found to be in possession of identifications that were not his own. It was estimated that these documents were stolen and being used without the owners permission. Manginell was subsequently charged with Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information, a Felony.
On Mar. 23, the department received a report of a Burglary of Habitation in the 100 block of NW 9th Street. The complainant advised that a relative was moving out of the residence and the last time they had been present on the property was two weeks ago. Suspects had entered the residence and stolen a television set. The suspects had left windows and a door open. A barn behind the residence had been secured by a padlock. The lock had been broken off the door and suspects had stolen an air conditioning exterior unit and a riding lawn mower. Officers processed the scene for evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
On Mar. 23, Officers received a report of an assault/injury to a child in the 3500 block of Lamar Avenue. Witnesses advised they had seen a male subject striking a small child several times in the face with his fist. The witnesses had confronted the subject and he had left the scene. Witnesses provided information leading to officers locating the subject at his residence. A welfare check was conducted and the children in the residence were all examined by officers for injuries. CPS was notified and the case is under investigation by Investigators of the Police Department.
Officers made 41 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 108 calls for service during this reporting period.
