On Mar. 10, an officer responded to a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Margaret St. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a female who identified herself as Amy Hartgroves. A warrant check revealed that Hartgroves had outstanding traffic warrants with the city. She was handcuffed and arrested on the warrants. Hartgroves then advised the officer that she had given a fictitious name and that her actual name was Jessica Kay Hale (39) of Powderly. It was then confirmed that Hale had an active Parole warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hale’s identity was confirmed by previous arrest data and she was charged with the Parole Warrant as well as Failure to Identify as a Fugitive From Justice. She was placed in county jail.
On Mar. 10, Officers of the Paris Police Criminal Investigation Division were contacted by the US Marshall Service and advised that a wanted federal fugitive was located in Paris. Officers went to the 2500 block of N. Main and there confirmed that Calvin Ray Westfield (68) was on the premises. Officers made contact with Westfield and arrested him on a federal warrant for Possession of a Weapon. Westfield was booked and taken to county jail without incident.
Officers made 28 traffic stops, 8 adult arrest, and answered 88 calls for service during this reporting period.
