On June 22, Officers received a report of a Burglary of Residence in the 100 block of 21st NE St. The victim advised she had been in a disturbance with two known suspects earlier in the evening and later received a text message from one of them advising that they had broken into her residence. She arrived home to find her front door forced open and damage to property inside the residence. Officers collected evidence, photographed the damage and attempted unsuccessfully to contact the suspects. The case was referred to Criminal Investigations Division for follow up.
On June 22, Officers were notified of an assault occurring in the 1400 block of Clarksville. The victim had been in a disturbance with an ex boyfriend. She was walking to work when the known suspect caught her, shoved her against a wall and choked her. The suspect then attempted to drag her into a vehicle. A witness advised they had observed the incident. Contact was made with the known suspect at the scene but no arrest were made and the incident remains under further investigation.
