On June 10, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 10 block of East Provine for a traffic violation. The officer made contact with a driver , Erik Lynn Gilbert (43). Gilbert advised the officer that he had a pipe used for smoking narcotics in his pocket. The pipe was confiscated and a small amount of methamphetamine was found inside the pipe. A search of the vehicle was conducted and more methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. Gilbert was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance. He was processed without incident.
Officers made 11 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 101 calls for service for this reporting period.
