On 07/09/23 at 0414, a traffic stop for in the 800 block of SW 4th St led officers to contact Tanya D Thomas. Drug paraphernalia was in plain view of the officers. Thomas was found to be in possession of prescription drugs, which she had no prescription for. She was charged with possession of a dangerous drug, booked and transported to Lamar County Jail.
Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of NW 15th St. on July 8 at 1533. The suspect, Essence Unique Gray had entered the victim’s house against his wishes and had been removed by the owner. Gray then had struck the victim in the head with a shovel. While officers were searching for the suspect in the case she was located in the 2700 block of Lamar Avenue. A warrant check revealed that Essence Unique Gray had an outstanding warrant for Burglary of Habitation originating from a June 2022 case. She was arrested for Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the listed warrant and then booked and placed in county jail.
On July 6, at 2138 officers worked a disturbance call in the 1900 block of E. Booth involving Camesha Gill. Gill was found to have outstanding warrants for city of Paris traffic offenses and a warrant from Dallas County for Criminal Mischief. She was arrested on the listed warrants. During booking she was found to be in possession of prescription medication for which she had no prescription. She was charged with the warrants and Possession of Dangerous Drug.
