On July 24, Officers responded to the 2500 block of Ballard Street regarding a family disturbance. During the investigation, officers determined that a female had assaulted her mother during an argument by striking her in the face. The suspect was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On July 24, Officers responded to the 700 block of Hearon Street in reference to an assault. During the investigation, officers determined that a male subject had assaulted a female subject. Officers observed evidence consistent with an assault and subsequently arrested the male subject for Assault Family Violence, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On July 25, Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver in the 10 block of NW 1st Street. Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of South Main Street, where it was parked facing the wrong direction on a one-way street. Officers made contact with the driver, who exhibited signs of intoxication. Following a roadside investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class B Misdemeanor.
On July 25, Officers responded to the 3600 block of Brownwood Drive in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple individuals had been involved in a large physical altercation. During the investigation, one female reported that she had been struck multiple times with a shovel by another female participant. The incident remains under investigation.
On July 25, Officers responded to the 800 block of Deshong Drive regarding an assault. During the investigation, officers determined that a male victim had been assaulted by multiple individuals at a local business. The victim sustained serious bodily injury as a result of the assault. The incident remains under investigation.
During this reporting period, officers conducted 89 traffic stops, made 16 adult arrests, and responded to 203 calls for service.
