On July 10, Officers responded to the 3200 block of W. Houston in regards to an assault. It was learned that Keith Lanell Williams (45) had assaulted a 65 year old family member by striking them several times with a leather belt. Williams acknowledged that he had committed the offense. Williams was placed under arrest for Assault of an Elderly or Disabled Individual. An emergency protective order was issued to protect the family member.
On July 11, after conducting a traffic stop for defective equipment in the 700 block of Bonham St. Officers contacted Roy Lafabe Porter (43). Porter was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was arrested on the warrant without incident.
Officers made 25 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 105 calls for service during this reporting period.
