On Jan. 7 at 12:21 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle in the 1100 block of SE 33rd St. The driver of the vehicle failed to respond to the Patrol Vehicle’s lights and siren and continued driving, failing to stop until the driver reached an address in the 1700 block of Jackson St. The driver, identified as Micka Earlettie Bobo (51) admitted to the evasion and said she didn’t want to stop because she knew she had warrants and didn’t want her vehicle towed. She was charged with outstanding traffic warrants as well as Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a Felony.
On Jan. 7 at 3:52 p.m., an officer made contact with James Glenn Cline (38) due to a reported disturbance in the 400 block of W. Kaufman St. Cline was observed to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and during a subsequent search was found to be in possession of a glass pipe containing methamphetamine. He was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Jan. 6 at 12:17 a.m., an officer made contact with Justin Lee Foster (36) in the 1700 block, of Jackson St. for walking in the roadway. Foster refused to comply with the officer’s directions and refused to comply with orders to place his hands on the patrol vehicle. Foster then fled on foot. He was pursued by officers and taken into custody. During the arrest Foster resisted officers and continued to struggle until he was handcuffed. He was charged with Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest.
On Jan. 6 at 10:48 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of NE 14th for defective equipment. The driver, Christian Malik Jordan (23) exited the vehicle and refused to follow the officer’s direction to return to the vehicle. Jordan was detained and a warrant check revealed no warrants. Jordan consented to a search of his person and a .22 caliber firearm was found inside his jacket pocket. Jordan was found to have multiple Felony Convictions. He was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm..
On Jan. 7 at 11:04 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of East Cherry St. Officers made contact with Connie Darlene Kelly (68) who appeared to be under the influence of some substance. Kelly volunteered to a search of her person and was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. She was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Jan. 7 at 3:01 a.m., officers responded to a security check in the 800 block of Clarksville St. A vehicle was stopped leaving the scene. Officers made contact with three subjects, one of whom was Johnny Rudolph Villines, 32. Villines was found to be in possession of prescription medications for which he had no prescription. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Jan. 5 at 9:00 a.m., a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of N. Main was received. The victim advised that video captured a vehicle belonging to his business being stolen at about 2358 on December 31, 2023. The vehicle had not been reported due to the victim thinking an employee had the vehicle. The vehicle, a 2006 Silver Ram 3500 with a green stripe and yellow tool box was entered as stolen in the Texas data base and investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 5 at 1:15 p.m., an officer responded to a burglary at 865 Deshong. A suspect had entered a closed lab (suite) and had stolen a laptop computer valued at 2200.00. The suspect left numerous types of evidence at the scene, which were collected, and the investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 5 at 8:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of S. Church in regards to a robbery. Four suspects entered the business and stole numerous containers of lottery tickets. Some of the subjects distracted the clerks while others stole the tickets. Evidence was collected, including a possible identity of some of the suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
