Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 500 block of Cedar St at 8:55 A.M. on January 15, 2023. The reporting person reported that they were overseeing the residence while the owner was away. A window was used to gain access to the residence and several items had been moved around inside the residence. The reporting person could only describe a few items that were missing. The investigation continues.
Paris Police responded to the 3800 block of Lamar Ave at 12:51 P.M. on January 25, 2023 and spoke with the victim of a fraud. The victim rported that someone had used their credit cards to make a large purchase. The victim found out about the fraudulent transaction when they received their monthly statement. The incident is under investigation.
Blaine Wade Slagle, 22, of Paris, was arrested at the Paris District Parole Office at 2:02 P.M. on January 25, 2023 on an outstanding parole violation warrant. Slagle was booked at the Paris Police Department before being transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
