On Jan. 21, the department was notified of a Burglary of a Residence occurring in the 1900 block of E. Booth The victim advised that the house belonged to his late grandmother and was vacant and under construction. A worker coming to do repairs noticed that the front door lock had been pried open and a container of coins had been stolen. The victim noticed nothing else missing. Officers collected evidence at the scene and the case is under investigation.
