On Jan. 17, Officers responded to the 2900 block of S. Church on a Criminal Trespass report. The officer arrived and made contact with Markecia Keysha Hooker (33). Hooker was in possession of a large shoulder bag, which she gave the attending officer permission to search. Inside the purse the officer located various types of narcotics. Hooker was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance X 2. A warrant check revealed that Hooker had several misdemeanor warrants outstanding. She was charged with the warrants as well. Hooker was transported to the Police Department and booked without further incident.
On Jan.18, a shoplifting report in the 1300 block of Clarksville brought officers into contact with Ami Jon Narramore (48). Narramore had been observed concealing store property about her person by store personnel. Officers contacted Narramore as she left a store restroom and questioned her about the property. Narramore produced numerous stolen items from her purse as well as from her jacket. The items totaled $80.21. A criminal history check revealed that Narramore had been previously convicted of theft on two prior occasions. She was charged with Theft under $2500.00 with 2 or more previous convictions, a state jail felony. She was processed without incident.
On Jan. 19, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of NW 4th for defective equipment. They made contact with Daniel Granederos Perez (31). Perez gave a fictitious name at first and officers were forced to research Perez’ history and departmental records to identify him. It was found that Perez had an outstanding warrant for Bond Surrender DWI 3rd or More. Perez was charged with the warrant as well as Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice.
On Jan. 19, for the second time in as many weeks, officers arrested Quamaine Jamal White-Richardson (31). The department received a call from a business in the 2600 block of Lamar Avenue advising that Richardson had just stolen several items. Officers arrived in the area and located Richardson a few blocks away. He was detained while the investigation was conducted. Store employees advised that Richardson had entered the business, taken several food items totaling under 10.00 and then started to leave the store. When confronted by store personnel, he became irate and cursed at the employees. They allowed him to leave to avoid trouble. A local check revealed that Richardson had been convicted of theft four times previously. He was arrested and charged with Theft under $2500.00 with 2 prior convictions. A Felony.
On Jan. 20, the department received a report of a disturbance in the 2700 block of E. Cherry. Upon arrival they contacted John Thomas McCoin (47) in the yard of the residence. During a consensual “Pat Down” Officers located marijuana and methamphetamine in McCoin’s pocket. McCoin was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance. He was processed at the City Jail.
Officers made 79 traffic stops, 13 adult arrest, and answered 328 calls for service for this reporting period.
