On Feb. 6 at 10:37p.m., an officer was on patrol in the 500 block of Tudor St when he observed a motorcycle being operated in the area without any lighting activated. The officer attempted to initiate contact with the rider of the motorcycle at which time he observed the rider of the motorcycle to accelerate and commit several traffic violations. The rider then turned the lights on briefly then turned them back off in an attempt to elude capture, but finally stopped in the 500 block of 2nd NE. Contact was made with the rider, Travion De’Marcus Johnson (19) of Paris. Johnson claimed ownership of the motorcycle and claimed to be just riding around. There was no vehicle number plate but a check of the Vin revealed the motorcycle to be reported stolen in September of 2024 out of the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson could not or would not provide viable information as to his purchase of the motorcycle. He was placed under arrest for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a Felony. He was booked without incident.
On Feb. 6, an officer made contact with Donnel Rose (47) of Paris in the 600 block of W. Kaufman St. Rose was confirmed to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Sexual Assault originating in June of 2024. Rose was arrested on the warrant. After his arrest, Rose was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana. He was subsequently charged with Possession of Controlled Substance.
