Paris Police responded to a theft of a trailer in the 2800 block of NE Loop 286 at 9:46 A.M. on February 21, 2023. The victim reported that a 24’ car hauler flatbed trailer had been removed from the property without the owners knowledge or permission. The incident is under investigation.
At 10:34 A.M. on February 21, 2023, Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Clarksville St. Officers made contact with a 71 year old male who was identified as Robbie Dean Jester of Lockesburg, Arkansas. Jester was found to be intoxicated on an unknown substance. He was found to be in possession of over 1 gram of fentanyl and over 1 gram of methamphetamine. Jester was arrested and charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the city jail and is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail. Wesley Tyrone Neal, 29, of Paris, was arrested at 11:02 A.M. on February 21, 2023 at the Paris District Parole Office on a parole violation warrant. Neal is on parole for a deadly conduct by discharging a firearm conviction. Neal was booked and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police met with the victim of an identity theft in the Police Department lobby at 1:10 P.M. on February 21, 2023. The victim reported that they had been the victim of a fraud in the past and had been issued a new social security number. The victim recently received a statement from E*trade advising that someone had opened an account in their old social security number. The victim has also received a statement from Amazon advising that they owe taxes on royalties from the sales of a book. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Maple Ave at 4:19 P.M. on February 21, 2023 for not using a turn signal. The officer knew that the occupants were suspected to be involved in a disturbance a few blocks away. The driver was identified as 25 year old Raven Chardae Jordon, and the passenger as 26 year old Cordarrius Demontre Easter, both of Paris. The officer smell marijuana emitting from the vehicle and observed a firearm in the floorboard under Jordon’s feet. During the investigation, the officer located multiple baggies of marijuana and another handgun in the vehicle. Easter was found to be in possession of multi-colored tablets that later tested positive for Ecstacy and more than 1 gram of THC wax. Jordon was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance of more than 4 grams, unlawful carrying weapon, and possession of marijuana. Easter was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful carrying a weapon, and possession of marijuana. Both were booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail. Easter was also charged with assault and terroristic threat of a family member due to the investigation of the disturbance.
