On Feb, 19, Officers arrested Kendravia Zanaria Davis (24) after stopping her for a traffic violation in the 600 block of NE 6th. Davis’ vehicle was noted to smell of marijuana. Davis and a passenger were removed from the vehicle at which time Davis was found to appear intoxicated. Davis refused to place her phone on the vehicle when ordered so the DWI testing could commence. When the officer took Davis’ phone, she grabbed the officer’s arm. Davis was handcuffed. Davis admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and a small amount was located in the passenger compartment as well as a handgun. Davis was then unhandcuffed and DWI testing was used to establish her intoxication. Davis then resisted being handcuffed again. Davis continued to resist as she was taken into custody, kicking at the windows of the patrol vehicle and jerking away from officers. She had two children under the age of 14 in the vehicle as well. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and Abandoning or Endangering a Child. She was booked and placed in jail.
Officers made 11 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 95 calls for service during this reporting period.
