On Feb. 18, Officers served a warrant in the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue. They arrested Teresa Dysha’e Caldwell (36) on a warrant for Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse on an Elderly individual. The arrest stemmed from a report from October 2024 incident in which Caldwell used an elderly victims credit card to make unauthorized purchases and to withdraw cash from the victim’s account. Caldwell was transported to Lamar County Jail without incident.
On Feb. 18, Officers responded to the 3700 block of Castlegate in regards to an assault. They met the victim, an expectant female, who advised them that a known suspect, a family member, had assaulted her by pushing her down during an argument. The suspect had left the scene prior to the victim calling police and refused medical attention at that time. Officers made a report and collected evidence. Assault of a pregnant person is a Felony offense. The case remains under investigation.
Officers made 25 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 91 calls for service for this reporting period.
