On Feb. 14, Marshall Allen Fox (46) was arrested by Officers of the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force on a seatbelt violation after being observed riding in a vehicle in the 10 block of 19th NW. Fox was a suspect in an Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle case which had occurred on February 13, in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue. In a search incident to arrest, a piece of property belonging to the victim of the vehicle theft was located in Fox’s pocket. A warrant was obtained for the UUMV case and Fox was subsequently arrested on that charge as well. He was taken into custody without incident.
On Feb. 14, Amber Leann Kyle (43) was arrested at the local Probation Office on a warrant for Motion to Adjudicate Guilt on a Possession of Controlled Substance charge. She was booked and taken to Lamar County Jail.
On Feb. 15, Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of NE 14th Street in regards to a wanted person. They arrived and met Reginal Terrell Lyons (36) who had an outstanding warrant from the Austin Parole Board. Lyons was taken into custody and transferred to Lamar County Jail after booking.
On Feb. 15, Officers were notified of a Burglary of a Business in the 2300 block of Lamar Avenue. Officers arrived and found the business had been broken into by the suspect throwing a brick through a window. Several other doors inside the business were damaged. The owner was notified and arrived on the scene. The owner was unable to provide a list of missing items at that time but the stolen items consisted of beauty products and hair styling items. The investigation will continue.
On Feb. 16, Officers responded to an assault in the 3100 block of Pine Mill Rd. The victim advised her boyfriend had assaulted her by pulling her hair, slamming her head into a door, and twisting her ankle. The suspect had already left the scene. Upon arrival officers spoke with witnesses on scene who confirmed the victim’s story. There was evidence at the residence to indicate that a disturbance had occurred. The victim was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center for treatment by Paris EMS. The case is under investigation and the suspect is still at large at this time.
On Feb. 16, Officers responded to an assault call in the 1800 block of NE Loop 286. They met with a victim who advised them they had just been assaulted and choked by an ex boyfriend, Beau Louis Carrol (35) of Paris. Officers observed physical injuries as evidence of the assault. Officers located Beau Louis Carrol in another trailer at the location. He displayed evidence which was consistent with the victim’s story. Carrol was arrested and charged with Assault of a Family Member by Impeding Breath, a Felony. He was booked without incident.
Officers made 49 traffic stops, 8 adult arrest, and answered 262 calls for service for this reporting period.
