Paris Police responded to the 1500 block of W Kaufman St at 11:18 A.M. on February 1, 2022 in reference to a burglary of a residence. The victim reported that someone had entered the vacant residence within the last 30 days and had stolen several appliances. The incident is under investigation.
At 6:54 P.M. on February 1, 2022, Paris Police responded to a burglary of a building in the 500 block of NE 16th St. The victim reported that someone had entered a shed and had stolen numerous items. The investigation continues.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of NE 12th St at 8:14 P.M. on February 1, 2022 for speeding. During the investigation, Officers smelled marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. A passenger, 20 year old Howard Paul Browner, III, of Paris, was found to be in possession of cocaine and pills that he did not have a prescription to possess. During his arrest, Browner was found to be in possession of a pistol magazine. Upon further investigation, Officers located two pistols in the vicinity of where the officer initiated the traffic stop. Browner was additionally charged with felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence. He was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2900 block of Clarksville St at 11:12 P.M. on February 1, 2022. During the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a handgun. Kyle Spencer Dickerson, 37, of Reno, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying a weapon, and two Municipal Court warrants. Dickerson was booked and placed in the city jail.
