Wed. Dec. 4; Officers received a report of a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in the 700 block of NW 13th . The victim had left the vehicle unlocked and a handgun was stolen from the back floor board. The victim had no information on the handgun. Victim is to procure the necessary information and update the department.
Wed. Dec. 4; Officers were notified of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A business in the 2900 block of S. Church had rented a u-haul box truck to an individual in October of this year. The truck has not been returned even though correspondence had been sent, demanding the return of the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into national data bases as stolen and the case remains open.
Wed. Dec. 4; An officer received a report of Stalking and Harassment. The victim produced mobile phone records displaying that a known suspect had called her phone an “unreasonable” number of times from a blocked number. The suspect had called over 60 times in the past day and a half, often preventing the victim from being able to use her phone due to the abuse. The victim advised the suspect is an ex boyfriend who now believes she is starting a relationship with someone else. The suspect had also followed the victim in her vehicle and had swerved towards her as if to intentionally ram her vehicle or cause an accident. The incident was turned over to investigations and is currently under investigation.
Officers made 9 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 115 calls for service for this reporting period.
