On Dec. 29, Officers were notified of an incident in which an elderly male was contacted on Facebook by individuals claiming to want to start a relationship. The victim was asked to submit nude photos of himself, which he did. The suspects then began extorting the subject to send monies or risk having the photos published and sent to family members. The victim has sent a large amount of monies to the suspects. The case is under investigation.
Officers made 30 traffic stops, no adult arrest, and answered 65 calls for service during this reporting period.
