Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12:14pm: Complainant advised that a male driver had driven behind her vehicle, followed her to a parking lot in the 1000 block of West Kaufman Street, stumbled out of his vehicle and attempted to open her locked vehicle door with her inside as he stated he needed help for his dog. Officer arrived and observed the male get out of the driver’s side of a red car; unsteady on his feet, walked towards another vehicle and began pulling on the door handle. The male identified as 62-year-old Lesily Gene Goodman of Paris; ignored all of the officer’s command and was eventually taken into custody and booked into the Paris Jail for Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport and Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more.
Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 6:41pm: Paris Police Officers are now investigating an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a Criminal Mischief >=$750<$2,500 after responding to the 100 block of SE 13th Street to a disturbance. A victim stated that his girlfriend got in her vehicle, backed up in the parking lot, then accelerated forward, fast towards him. He ran out of the way of the moving vehicle; however she continued accelerating forward, ramming the back bumper of his parked vehicle, forcing his parked vehicle to jump a stop block and continue forward, hitting a fence; all taking place while their two young children were in the girlfriend’s vehicle.
Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 7:12pm: Paris Police Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 24th Street to Assist a Paris Junior College Officer with a Criminal Trespass of one of their rooms. After a knock at the door, Homeless 43-year-old Shane Michael Crites opened the door and stated that he had been staying in the room for a couple of days. A computer check on Crites returned him as being wanted on a Felony Parole Warrant Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon. Crites was arrested and booked into the Paris Jail.
Tuesday, December 27, 2022: The Paris Police Department responded to 71 calls for service and arrested 4 adult persons.
