Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 09:09am; Officer was dispatched to a report of a Burglary of a Business in the 700 block of Lamar Avenue. A glass door had been shattered to gain entry. The owner believes approximately $100 in cash was stolen. Many valuables were left undisturbed. Investigators have started reviewing the evidence.
Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1:26pm; Robert Allen Berry was arrested in the 2200 block of Bonham Street for Burglary Habitation/Bail Jumping/ Failure to Appear Parole Violation. Berry was transported to the Paris City Jail where he was booked.
Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 4:59pm; Officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Clarksville Street to a report of a food stamp card stolen from a mailbox. The victim reported that she had given an alleged suspect the last four digits of her social security card to check her account to determine when her new debit card would arrive. When the victim went to the food stamp office, she was told that her card had already been activated and at least two transactions had occurred. The incident will be investigated.
Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 04:50am; Officer was dispatched to the 3600 block of Castlegate Drive in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Victim advised that approximately forty minutes prior to officer’s arrival on scene that an unknown subject/subjects had entered into his vehicle and had stolen a firearm. Several other vehicles in the neighborhood had been entered; but no items were reported as missing or stolen. Investigators will seek assistance from any cameras in the area.
Tuesday, December 14, 2021; the Paris Police Department responded to 80 calls for service and arrested 2 adult persons.
