On Dec. 13 at 3:10 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Spur 139 in reference to a theft. Reporting person said that a small framed white male came into the business and stole a Dewalt Power Saw, leaving the scene before officer arrived. At 1658, the officer working the call received information that the suspect was in the 3200 block of N. Main St getting fuel. The officer went to that location and made contact with the suspect after seeing the box for the stolen power saw in plain view in the bed of the suspect vehicle. Clint Anthony Edwards (45) was arrested for Theft under 2500.00. Edwards matched the description given by the reporting person. Edwards has at least two prior convictions for Theft, making this a State Jail Felony.
On Dec. 13 at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of W. Walker in regards to a family disturbance. They spoke with a victim who advised that they had been assaulted by Brian McCann (43). It was reported and observed that McCann had struck the victim multiple times with a stick. McCann was arrested for Assault causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
On Dec. 13 at 3:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 40th SE where they observed Erica Rochell Vickers (32) at the door of the residence. Vickers has been previously warned away from the residence and a protective order is in effect forbidding Vickers from going near the residence or the protective parties. Vickers was arrested for violation of a protective order. She was also found to have two outstanding warrants for a previous Violation of Protective Order and Possession of Controlled Substance.
