On Dec. 10, Officers arrested Ronald Dean Kamer (63) after receiving a complaint that he was at a business in the 2500 block of N. Main where he had previously been given a Criminal Trespass warning. The officer arrived and found Kamer on the property. At that time Kamer was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespassing. Kamer was found to be in possession of two alcoholic beverages. He claimed to have purchased these from another business but prior to the officer leaving the scene, he was notified that Kamer had stolen the items from the business at which time Kamer admitted to having stolen the items from the store in question. A check established that Kamer had two prior arrest for Theft. He was subsequently charged with Criminal Trespassing (Misdemeanor) and Theft under $2500.00 with two or more previous convictions. Kamer was booked and transported to jail.
On Dec. 10, Officers were notified of a theft occurring in the 2600 block of N. Main. A victim reported that they had been selling an electric bicycle online and had been contacted by a subject about buying the bike. They had agreed to meet the buyer in the 2600 block of N. Main for the transaction. An unknown male had arrived, looked at the bike and then asked to take a test ride. The seller had demanded payment before the ride. The suspect had given the seller 1300 dollars. As the suspect rode away, the victim realized he had been paid with counterfeit/fake cash. The suspect evaded the victim. The case is under investigation.
On Dec. 10, Officers assisted Agents of the US Marshall’s Office in warrant arrest in the 500 block of S. Main. While on scene officers contacted Zamontre Quavon Morris (27) who was found to be wanted out of our agency on two warrants, Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Burglary of Coin Operated Machine charge is a result of an August of 2025 incident where Morris, in conjunction with others entered and stole currency from a business in the 1200 block of Bonham St. Morris was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $2500.00 with two prior convictions for Theft. He was processed without incident.
On Dec. 10, Officers responded to a Burglary of Building in the 300 block of Kaufman. Upon arrival they met the owner who reported that someone had pried open the doors to their business, a venue, and made entry. The owner reported that this was the second time in two weeks this had happened. Nothing was reported missing from the business but officers did find evidence supporting the theory that the business had been illegally entered. The incident is under investigation.
On Dec. 11, an officer on routine patrol observed a subject later identified as Patrick Alan Daigh (33) of Paris walking out of a parking lot in the 200 block of N. Main. Less than two minutes later, officers received a burglar alarm at the location. They responded and found the building to have been burglarized. Upon securing the scene the officer gave the description of the subject seen in the area immediately prior to the incident. Daigh was located by officers as he walked in the 400 block of N. Main. He was found in possession of numerous blankets, alcoholic beverages, energy drinks, and cigarettes. A representative of the store arrived and video in the store showed Daigh burglarizing the business as well as his breaking the glass to make entry. The afore mentioned consumables including cigarettes and drinks had been taken from the store. Daigh was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building. During the course of the investigation it was found that Daigh had property implicating his burglary of another business in the 300 block of Grand Avenue. Video from that business also confirmed that Daigh was the perpetrator. Daigh was also in possession of another subject’s wallet and identifying information. He was charged with two counts of Burglary of a Building and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying information. All of these are Felony offenses. Daigh was booked and placed in jail.
Officers made 25 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 84 calls for service during this reporting period.
