On Aug. 21, Officers received a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of NE 17th. Officers met with Tamra Michelle Nabors (36) and discovered that she had two outstanding warrants out of Fannin County. One was for Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, a Felony, and the other for False Report inducing an Emergency Response. Nabors was arrested on the two charges and transported to jail without incident.
On Aug. 25, Officers responded to the 600 block of Deshong Dr in regards to an assault. It was reported that a resident had been struck by an employee of the facility. Officers spoke with reporting party and witnesses who advised that another employee, the offender, had struck the victim, a 52 year old disabled individual. The incident was witnessed and the offender was sent home. Witnesses advised that the victim, who is mentally disabled, had struck the offender initially, and the offender struck the victim in the face. The case is under investigation.
Officers made 13 traffic stops, 2 adult arrest, and answered 126 calls for service during this reporting period.
