On Aug. 22, Officers arrested Quinton Marcell Bills (39) at the Probation Office. Bills had an outstanding warrant for Probation Revocation Assault of a Household Member /Prior Convictions, a Felony. Bills was arrested without incident.
On Aug. 22, Officers received a report of a fraud occurring in the 1900 block of NE Loop 286. On June 9, 2025, the known suspect had entered the bank and “Cashed in” a Savings Bond for monies in excess of 10,000 dollars. The bank had issued funds as well as having deposited further monies into the suspect’s account. The bond was later found to be fraudulent. The suspect’s identity is known and the incident is under investigation.
On Aug, 23, an officer stopped a vehicle driven by Tavon Deandre Gray (29) in the 31—block of Clarksville St. As officers approached the vehicle, they observed Gray to open the door and throw something under his vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Gray had discarded a camouflage bag containing marijuana and drug paraphernalia beneath the vehicle. Gray was arrested for possession of marijuana and Tampering or Fabricating Evidence, a Felony, due to his attempt to discard the marijuana beneath the vehicle. He was arrested without further incident and placed in jail.
On Aug, 23, an officer attempted to stop two motorcycles in the area of South Church and Evergreen. The department had received numerous reports of the vehicles driving recklessly. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicles, the riders went in different directions. The officer attempted to stop one of the vehicles and the rider fled on the motorcycle, quickly outdistancing the patrol vehicle. The other motorcycle rider also fled from other officers on N. Main St on the same date. The following day, the initial officer observed the rider and the motorcycle at a local restaurant and made contact with the rider. The rider eventually confessed to being the rider from the previous day. He was arrested for Evading Arrest (Vehicle), a Felony, and placed in jail.
On Aug, 24, Officers were notified of an Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. The complainant, who was out of town, notified officers that a known suspect had taken his 1996 Chevrolet truck from his yard without permission and had wrecked the vehicle. The victim advised that the suspect did not have a key to his knowledge and had no permission to use the vehicle. A witness advised that they had heard a crash outside their window and looked out to see the vehicle crashed into the tree and the known suspect walking around the truck. The suspect had visible injuries consistent with the accident. Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force were notified of the incident. The vehicle was left with the victim’s family.
On Aug, 24, a report of a burglary of motor vehicle was received. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Ruby Way. The victim had left his vehicle unlocked and advised that sometime between 2200 hrs. on August 23 and 2100 hrs. on August 24, his handgun had been taken from the vehicle. The victim gave the names of two “Friends” of his who had access to the truck and handgun but advised that he did not think they would have taken the handgun without permission. The handgun was entered as stolen in NCIC/TCIC database. The case is under investigation.
On Aug. 25, Officers responded to a suspicious person incident in the 600 block of Bonham St. The reporting party advised that two subjects were kicking a door to one of the apartments and that one of them had a handgun. Upon arrival, Isaiah Treveon Oneal (22) was located leaving the area. Oneal was found to be in possession of a handgun and ammunition. Oneal was also confirmed to be a convicted Felon. He was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was booked and taken to Lamar County Jail.
On Aug, 23, Officers made contact with a suspicious person walking through yards in the 200 block of NE 25th. The subject was identified as Paul Schneider (45) of Paris. Schneider consented to a search of his person and was found to be in possession of narcotics as well as paraphernalia used for the consumption of the narcotics. He was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and booked.
Officers made 44 traffic stops, 16 adult arrest, and answered 370 calls for service during this reporting period.
