An officer was dispatched to 1700 block of W. Kaufman St. in regards to a criminal trespassing in progress. Officer met with the suspect, Autumn Hill, who was illegally at the residence. As officer was removing hill peacefully from the residence, Hill struck the officer in the face and scratched the officer on the neck. Hill was taken into custody and charged with Assaulting a Public Servant and Criminal Trespass at a residence. She was booked and taken to jail.
Officers were dispatched to a call of a disturbance in the 1100 block of Long St. Officers were advised that Stacey Ladell had struck the victim in the face and had prevented her from making two 911 calls for assistance. Ladell was later located and witnesses confirmed the victim’s story. Ladell was arrested for Assault of a Family Member and Interference with an emergency phone call. It was found that Ladell had previous convictions for both offenses and so his charges were enhanced to Felony level. He was placed in jail.
Officers served a warrant in the 2400 block of E Cherry on Ryan LaFountain, whom was known to be wanted out of Rockwall County. Subject was taken into custody without incident.
Glenda Sue Potter was arrested at Booker T Washington Homes on a charge of Credit Card Abuse. Due to medical issues Potter was released at the scene to report for arraignment at a later date.
Officers responded to the 4300 block of Bonham St. Lamar County Probation office for a warrant arrest. They arrested Jasmine Wilson on the charge of Credit Card Abuse of Elderly (5 Counts). She was transported for booking and placed in jail.
Officers stopped a vehicle in the 2400 block of N. Main St. The vehicle was being operated by Tyler Wright, who was observed to be intoxicated. Wright was transported to the police department where he was booked. It was found that Wright had 2 previous convictions for DWI and so he was charged with DWI 3rd or More, a felony.
Officers were dispatched to 3800 block of Lamar in regards to a Criminal Trespass in progress. Jerry Lynn Young had been warned away from the business and was currently on scene. Officers located Young, who had property from the store concealed on his person. Young had multiple theft charges in the past and so was charged with enhanced theft, making the offense a felony.
Officers received a report of a missing firearm from an apartment in the 300 block of Stone Avenue. The victim could not locate a firearm where it should have been and feared it may have been stolen or lost. The gun was entered in the tcic/ncic system as lost.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 10 block of SE 20th. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers located the point of entry and observed video of the two subjects perpetrating the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers worked a Burglary of Buisness in the 100 block of W Center st. suspects had broken a front door and stolen a computer from the business. A large dog and an air rifle were also missing. Investigation continue.
