On Aug. 12, Officers responded to the 1700 block of Bonham St in regards to a security check. They made contact with the victim, an employee of the business, who advised that he had observed a suspect in the business shoplifting. The victim contacted the suspect, to question him about the theft at which time the suspect lifted his hoodie and displayed a handgun in the waistband of his pants. The victim then told the suspect he had to leave and escorted him from the store. The suspect then left. The victim provided video of the suspect who was identified as a juvenile. Officers made contact with the known juvenile and the case is under investigation.
