On Apr. 8, Officers were notified of a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in the 10 block of E Plaza. Upon approaching his vehicle the victim had noted that a door was open and several items were missing including electronics, clothing, and snacks. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate any of the items. Officers cleared the scene after collecting fingerprints and other evidence. Shortly afterwards officers were again contacted by the victim who had located a subject wearing some of the clothing stolen from the vehicle. Officers were shown the suspect, later identified as Reyna Elisabeth Davlin (41) who was sitting in the 10 block of Clarksville St. Davlin was wearing a hoodie which was identified as stolen in the Burglary of Vehicle. Davlin was obviously compromised mentally by probable drug use as she exhibited signs of such. The victim was on scene and identified multiple items in Davlin’s possession as having been stolen from his vehicle. Davlin was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Public Intoxication. Davlin was later searched at Lamar County Jail and a glass pipe containing Methamphetamine was located concealed within her clothing. She was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. She remains in county jail.
On Apr. 8, a report of a Fraud was made at a local tax preparation business. The victim reported that an unknown individual had somehow used his information to obtain a tax refund from the IRS in the amount of $4,958.00. The incident was reported to the IRS and is under investigation.
On Apr. 9, Officers made contact with subjects in the 3500 block of Lamar Avenue. The subjects were observed to be discarding personal trash in a store owned dumpster. One of the individuals was identified as Deandre Lamar Martinez (34). A warrant check revealed Martinez to have outstanding warrants with extradition on a California Parole Warrant for Robbery. Martinez was arrested on the warrant and placed in county jail.
Officers made 33 traffic stops, 2 adult arrest, and answered 111 calls for service during this reporting period.
