On Apr. 5, Officers arrested Kayla Nicole Clavier (18) after responding to a disturbance and then witnessing her in the vicinity of an individual protected by an order forbidding Clavier from having any personal contact with the victim. She was booked without incident.
On Apr. 7, Officers Arrested Cedric Cordell Dangerfield (43) after he was caught “Skip Scanning” several items while checking out at Wal-Mart. Dangerfield was found to have three prior convictions for theft. The charge was enhanced to Theft under 2500.00 with 2 or more prior convictions.
On Apr. 6, Jordan Marcus Garrett (23) was arrested after he entered a residence in the 700 block of W. Washington and refused to leave. Garrett was arrested for Criminal Trespassing at a residence.
On Apr. 5, Officers to a theft at Wal-Mart. Matthew Wayne Griffin (39) and a female individual were being detained by store personnel due to failing to scan several items while using the self checkout. Griffin was also found to have over 2000.00 in city warrants. Griffin was found to have 2 prior convictions for theft and was charged with Theft under 2500.00 with 2 prior convictions. The female was released as the couple had several young children with them.
On Apr. 7, Police were notified of an assault which had occurred at PRMC Hospital. Adriana Dianne Hackler (26) had assaulted a hospital employee by striking them and scratching them. Hackler had been restrained by hospital personnel. She was placed under arrest for Assault of Hospital Personnel, a felony, and booked without incident.
On Apr. 6, Officers performing a security check in the 800 block of Provine Alley came into contact with Delores Jean Morgan (66). Morgan was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia as well as several prescription medications not prescribed to her. She was arrested and charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Another individual in the vehicle was found to be in possession of suspected Crack Cocaine. This subject identified herself as Anetra Young. It was later discovered that the individuals true name was Natalie Lashon Smith (47) and that she was wanted on an outstanding Parole warrant. Smith was arrested and charged with Failure to ID as a fugitive from justice, Possession of Controlled Substance, and the Parole Warrant.
On Apr. 5, Officer was dispatched to an accident at the Love’s Fuel Stop in the 3200 block of N. Main. He made contact with Jerry Wayne Nowlin (77) who was found to be intoxicated. Nowlin had an open alcohol container in the from seat. Nowlin was arrested and charged with DWI 3rd or more.
Officers made 31 traffic stops, 16 adult arrest, and answered 344 calls for service for this reporting period.
