The Paris Ladycats Powerlifting team not only finished the highest in school history at the recent state meet, but also had the highest individual finishes ever.
Overall, the team finished 7th place while juniors Nicuria Brooks and Sarai Harris finished State Runner Ups.
“These Ladycats didn’t just compete — they dominated,” said Paris ISD. “They pushed the limits, crushed personal records, and proved that Paris is a force on the state stage.”
Brooks took 2nd place with an 835 total and a PR performance, while Harris matched the finish with a 2nd place 1220 total and a PR of her own.
“And the scary part? They’re both back next year.”
