The Dragon Promise at Paris Junior College is aimed at transforming lives across Lamar and Red River counties by providing local recent high school graduates the opportunity to attend college without the burden of tuition.
Designed to remove financial obstacles, the Dragon Promise ensures that students can focus on what matters most learning, growing, and building their futures. Since its inception, the program has helped dozens of students enroll in college who might otherwise not have had the opportunity.
“The Dragon Promise is changing lives across our region,” said Dr. Stephen Benson, President of Paris Junior College. “It’s about making sure every student who wants to go to college has the opportunity—regardless of their financial situation. This program reflects who we are as a college and as a community.”
What the Dragon Promise Provides
• Free tuition for eligible students who graduate from high schools in Lamar or Red River counties
• A seamless path to college for first-time, full-time students
• An investment in the future of the region through a more educated, skilled workforce
