Paris Junior College has announced the establishment of a new endowed scholarship created in memory and honor of the teachers and classmates of the Paris High School Classes of 1956 and 1959.
The In Memory and Honor of Teachers and Classmates of Paris High School Classes of 1956 & 1959 Endowed Scholarship was established by John W. Welch, a Paris High School Class of 1956 graduate, and in memory of Rosemary Garrett Welch, a member of the Paris High School Class of 1959. The scholarship was established in recognition of the lasting impact educators and classmates have on students’ lives and futures.
This endowed scholarship will support students attending Paris Junior College and reflects the donors’ commitment to education and to the Paris community.
Applicants must be graduates of Paris High School and may be either incoming students or second-year students.
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on recommendations from the Paris Junior College Scholarship Selection Committee, which reviews applications and makes award nominations.
“This endowed scholarship stands as a meaningful tribute to the educators and classmates who shaped generations of students and as a lasting investment in the future of Paris Junior College students,” said Baleigh McCoin, Executive Director of Advancement and Marketing.
