Paris firefighters deployed to the Fort Davis area to assist with wildfires on June 6th are coming home today.
“Our crew that has been deployed to West Texas, has been demobilized and is heading home today,” said Paris Fire Department.
Paris Fire Captain Matt Barbee and Lamar County Emergency Manager Quincy Blount worked tirelessly over the past week, mostly at night, making sure fires did not jump the fire line.
“Since leaving last week, they have been working every night ensuring the different fires did not jump fire breaks.”
