After 40-years of service to the citizens on Lamar County, Paramedic Deputy Chief John Janes, LP, is hanging up his uniform and retiring from a remarkable career in emergency medical services.
“Today, we bid a bittersweet farewell to an absolute legend,” said Paris EMS online. “Four decades is a lifetime of commitment, marked by countless early mornings, late nights, difficult situations, and, most importantly, lives saved and families comforted. John’s dedication, professionalism, and steady presence on the front lines have been an inspiration to us all. He has not only been a responder but also a mentor, a leader, and a true example of what it means to put service above self.”
