Due to potential foreign material contamination, a recall of Walmart’s Great Value Buttermilk Pancake and Waffle Mix, announced Continental Mills.
Though there have been no contaminated product reports by consumers nor any reported injuries, the affected product was distributed nationwide where consumers purchased the product through retail Walmart stores. The mixes had a “best by” date of Sept. 1, 2023.
“Food Safety is the highest priority for Continental Mills and the company is acting swiftly for the safety of consumers,” Continental Mills said in a statement. “Continental Mills is working with the FDA and retailers to ensure any affected product is removed from the marketplace immediately.”
Consumers who have purchased the product are asked to either dispose of or return the product to the store and to call the FDA’s recall phone hotline at 1-800-578-7832, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
