Owen Cade Landis, 18, of Blossom, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2018, at Medical City of Plano.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at Christian Fellowship Church, 3130 N. Main, Paris. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Owen, the son of Ricky & Sue Thompson Landis, was born Feb. 29, 2000, in Paris.

He graduated from North Lamar High School in 2017 and was employed at Proturf. Owen loved baseball, fishing & hunting and was an avid X Box gamer playing Fortnite for hours online with his friends.

Owen had thought of others when obtaining his driver’s license and had marked his license to be an organ donor. When the time came his family unselfishly followed Owen’s wishes and helped others to live through organ donation.

Survivors include his parents, Ricky & Sue Landis, his girlfriend, Tori Hemingway of Reno, two sisters; Hayley Gibson of Blossom and Jacie Williams & husband Seth of Deweyville, nieces and nephew; Karter Gibson, Sophie Williams, Kinsley Williams and Brevin Williams, grandparents; Nell Thompson of Blossom and Bo & Juanita Landis of Kountze, uncles & aunts; Jimbo & Lisa Thompson & their son Logan of Blossom, Monica & Kurt Erbarb and their children Tyler, Syndey and Mykalya, and Amanda Landis and her son Jarden.

He was preceded by a grandfather, Dwayne Thompson.

Casket bearers will be David Berry, Randy Stephens, Seth Williams, Brody Evans, Jaxon Hevron and Logan Thompson. Cobin Winters will serve as an honorary bearer.
