North Lamar places in the UIL Lone Star Cup Standings || Ranks among the top 25 schools in Class 4A

North Lamar ISD finished in the top 25 schools across the state by placing 16th in UIL’s 2019 4A Lone Star Cup standings.

The annual award, sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, is given to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district and state championships.

Winning schools are Nazareth (1A), Mason (2A), Brock (3A), Argyle (4A), Highland Park (5A) and Southlake Carroll (6A).  Each of the classifications receive the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship.  The award is based on the best overall athletic and academic programs in Texas and is open to all UIL participating high schools.

The Lone Star Cup Standings include Team Tennis, Cross Country, Marching Band, Volleyball, Robotics BEST, Football, Congress, Spirit, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Mariachi, Film, Basketball, Robotics FIRST, Soccer, Academics, One-Act Play, Theatrical Design, Track & Field, Golf, Tennis, Softball and Baseball.
