The North Lamar High School Panther Band continues its long-standing tradition of excellence, earning a spot in the UIL 4A State Marching Band Finals after placing 3rd at the Area competition.
The Panther Band will proudly represent North Lamar ISD and perform at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Wednesday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m.
This year marks North Lamar’s 12th consecutive appearance at the UIL State Marching Championships. Out of more than 300 bands that began the competition season, only 27 4A bands from across Texas advanced to the State Finals—placing the Panther Band among the very best in the state.
Since their first appearance at state, the North Lamar Panther Band has achieved an impressive nine State Finals performances, earning one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal along the way.
Under the direction of Austin Snow, Elisha Tollefson, Aidan McCarty, Sarah Rambo, Zach Baker, and Jennifer Wirges, the Panther Band continues to demonstrate outstanding musicianship, precision, and pride.
Their 2025 production, “Journey to Ascension,” takes audiences on a powerful musical and visual experience featuring selections from 160 BPM by Hans Zimmer, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker Suite by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Angels in the Architecture by Frank Ticheli, and culminating with Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.
A total of 138 members, including both band and dance, bring the show to life under the leadership of drum majors Addie Barber, Blake Boyden, and Emmah Klingler, and dance captains Adalyn Fore and Camila Castillo. Featured soloists include Alyia Dangerfield, Ava Penn, Isabel Gomez, Carsten Kessel, Noah Menchaca, Remy Tran, Aubrie Pence, Liam Gordon, Wiley Quillen, and Shyann Hudson.
