North Lamar High School’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) will be hosting a “Band-Aids and Boo-Boos” Emergency Preparedness Fair on September 17th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 p.m. in the Higgins parking lot. This family-friendly event is designed to equip families with essential skills to handle emergencies with confidence.
The American Red Cross will offer hands-only CPR training and opportunities to sign up for free smoke alarms with installation. Attendees can also participate in “Stop the Bleed” training. Paris Police Department, Paris Fire Department, and Quality ER will be present to provide vital information, including poison control. The North Lamar HOSA students will engage younger attendees in interactive games that teach preparedness skills in a fun and educational way.
