The North Lamar High School Varsity football team is gearing up for another exciting season, and this year, they’re doing it with a little extra support from those who mean the most to them. Before their first game, the Panthers opened their locker room doors to the individuals who have played a pivotal role in each player’s life, inviting them to participate in a unique and meaningful tradition.
For the second consecutive year, family members, mentors, and close friends were welcomed into the locker room to help their players prepare for the upcoming season in a special way—by adding the decals to their helmets. This tradition not only symbolizes the start of a new season but also reinforces the importance of the bond between the players and their supporters.
As the decals were carefully placed on each helmet, the locker room was filled with a sense of pride, unity, and anticipation for the season ahead. The players, bolstered by the love and encouragement of their supporters, are ready to take the field with renewed determination and Panther pride.
The NLHS Varsity football team kicked off their season on Friday, August 30, 2024, with the support of their community. This heartfelt tradition is just one of the many ways that North Lamar football brings together players, families, and the broader community, making each season more than just a series of games—it’s a celebration of unity and shared purpose.
Go Panthers!
