North Lamar High School senior, Melody Shannon, has been chosen as the Texas Farm Credit Ag Student of the Month.
Jay Kidwell, TFC Branch Manager for Paris and Clarksville, recognized Shannon for her accomplishments of excelling in the classroom and in the FFA program.
She received a $100 Visa gift card and will advance to the selection process for the Marsha Martin Scholarship program, which awards five $2,000 postsecondary scholarships to future Ag leaders.
