Following the appointment of Gary Young as judge of the 62nd Judicial District Court in Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, and Lamar Counties, Nick Stallings has been sworn in as the new County & District Attorney for Lamar County.
‘It has been a privilege and honor to serve the citizens of Lamar County the last few years and I look forward to continuing to do so as county and district attorney,” said Stallings.
Prior to his appointment, Stallings served as an Assistant District Attorney for Lamar County and previously practiced with the Moore Law Firm.
Stallings was born in Paris and graduated from Paris High School before receiving his degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.
He is the son of Brad and Nancy Stallings, son-in-law of Joe and Amy Watson. He and his wife, Anna, have one daughter.
Stallings previously served on the boards of the Paris Education Foundation and Friends of the Trail de Paris.
