Nancy Ann “Nana” Grzelachowski Adams died peacefully at Paris Regional Health in Paris, TX on April 27, 2023, at the age of 75.
Nancy was born on June 9th, 1947 in Ft. Worth, TX to Charles and Jewel Grzelachowski. Living in both Maine and Ft. Worth in her childhood, Nancy graduated from high school in Ft. Worth in 1966. She married Roy Adams in 1968, where they had one child, Lorie Ann Arnold.
Her family remembers her as a kind and loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved all others and especially loved giving cards and small gifts for any and all occasions to anyone she befriended. She volunteered for several years as a member of the “Toymakers Group,” helping sew, stuff, and decorate toy bears for children in need in the area. She was an avid lover of classic movies, especially westerns, and a lifelong fan of Elvis and the Cowboys, but her true pride was in her child, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She was also an active member of College Street Church of Christ for many years.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Roy Adams of Emberson, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Tommy Arnold of Sumner, TX, grandchildren: Joshua and Nichole Arnold of Paris, TX, Aaron and Miranda Arnold of Sumner, TX, Chelsea Arnold of Canyon, TX, and great-grandchild, Taytum Arnold. She is preceded in death by both parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jack Wolfe of Ft. Worth, TX, and other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A private, family service is to be held in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital. The family would like to thank the caregivers and hospital and nursing home staff for their efforts, care, and help.
Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
