Mary Ruth Roland Lucas, 67 of Commerce formerly of Paris, passed February 20, 2018, in Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A graveside service has been set for Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom, Texas with Rev. Myers officiating.
She was born on July 30, 1958, in Memphis, Texas to Charles and Mary Robertson Roland. She married Alvin Lucas on June 26, 1979, in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce.
She is survived by her daughters, Robbie Roland and Gladys Washington; grandchildren, Cristi Wilson, John Davis, Petty Officer Brianne Roland; 5 great-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lucas; grandson, Jessie Davis, Jr.; parents, Charles and Mary Roland; sisters, Claudine Allen and Lorene “Cotton” Kelly; brother, Charles Roland, Jr.
